Prime Minister to inspect several development projects in Cairo on Saturday

CAIRO – 15 May 2026: Egyptian Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly is scheduled to conduct an inspection tour on Saturday to review redevelopment work in several areas across Cairo Governorate, accompanied by a number of ministers.

Earlier this week, on 11 May 2026, Madbouly carried out an extensive tour to inaugurate and inspect several industrial facilities in Sadat City and 6th of October City.

During his visit to Sadat City, the Prime Minister emphasized that industry remains one of the key sectors driving Egypt’s economic growth, alongside agriculture, tourism, and information technology.

The tour included the inauguration of a new soft drink factory, representing a significant addition to Egypt’s food industry. Madbouly also inspected newly expanded production lines at an electrical cable manufacturing facility, including high-voltage and low-voltage cable production. The factory plays a vital role in supporting national infrastructure projects by supplying essential components to the energy, housing, and industrial sectors.

In 6th of October City, the Prime Minister reviewed facilities operating across a variety of industries, including adhesives, household detergents, automotive parts, and welded steel pipes. The delegation also visited factories producing metal lighting poles and electrical control panels.

The Minister of Industry stated that these sectors reflect Egypt’s progress in localizing modern industrial technologies, particularly in the iron and steel industries, while also strengthening the country’s export potential and supporting national development projects.
