CAIRO - 13 May 2026: Ambassador Mohamed Nasr, Egypt's Ambassador to Austria and Permanent Representative to the United Nations and other international organizations in Vienna, hosted a reception in honor of former Foreign Minister Nabil Fahmy's visit to Vienna to participate in a workshop organized by the Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue.
The reception was attended by a number of senior officials from the Chancellery, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Forum in Austria, as well as Arab and foreign ambassadors in Vienna, and experts, political analysts, and representatives of media, academic, and research institutions participating in the workshop.
According to a statement from the Egyptian Embassy in Vienna, Ambassador Mohamed Nasr expressed his pride in welcoming Nabil Fahmy, the former Foreign Minister and candidate for the position of Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, praising his extensive and distinguished diplomatic experience as one of the most prominent figures in Egyptian and Arab diplomacy.
He noted the ongoing and fruitful cooperation and communication with the Bruno Kreisky Forum for International Dialogue, and the great importance of the workshop it is holding to discuss collective diplomacy in times of crisis, especially in light of the regional political and security landscape, and the prospects for cooperation with the European Union, particularly Austria, with regard to developments in the international system and the strengthening of regional and global security and stability.
