Nick Adams, the US special envoy for tourism and values, said his meeting with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi focused on strengthening tourism cooperation and people-to-people ties between Egypt and the United States.

The meeting highlighted Washington’s interest in expanding tourism cooperation with Egypt, one of the country’s most vital economic sectors.

Nick Adams, the US special envoy for tourism and values, said it was “a great honor” to meet Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi to discuss expanding tourism cooperation between Egypt and the United States.

In a post published on X, Adams said he conveyed “warm greetings” from US President Donald Trump during the meeting.

“Our productive discussion highlighted the significant economic benefits of deepening this partnership, as well as the enduring importance of people-to-people ties that continue to strengthen relations between the United States of America and the Arab Republic of Egypt,” Adams wrote.

Tourism cooperation in focus

The remarks come as Egypt continues efforts to expand international tourism partnerships and attract more visitors from key global markets, including the United States.

Tourism remains one of Egypt’s most vital economic sectors and a major source of foreign currency revenues.

The meeting adds another layer to Egypt-US cooperation, placing tourism and direct people-to-people engagement at the center of a growing bilateral agenda.
