CAIRO – 31 July 2017: Prosecutor General Nabil Sadek decided on Sunday to remand 11 of the electricity maintenance crew of the Cairo International Airport in custody for 15 days during the investigation launched in light of the power cut at Terminal 3 of the Airport.

The prosecutor General had ordered a prosecution team to move to the Cairo International Airport to inspect the scene and determine the underlying reasons for the incident which occurred on Friday early morning.

A failure of electricity generators after a power outage caused confusion in the building's traffic and delayed the departure of some flights.
