CAIRO - 7 MAY 2026
A team of Integrated Marketing Communications students at Al-Ahram Canadian University has launched a new AI-powered platform designed to help university students identify career paths, develop professional skills, and prepare for the labor market before graduation.

Students from the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) department at the Faculty of Mass Communication at Al-Ahram Canadian University have launched a new application called “GenZawy,” aimed at helping university students and Generation Z users identify suitable career paths and prepare for the labor market before graduation.
The app is designed as a digital career companion that analyzes users’ personal skills and interests, then connects them with career opportunities that match their strengths.
According to the student team behind the project, the goal is to help young people build a clearer professional roadmap during their university years rather than waiting until graduation to start planning their future.
GenZawy offers a range of services focused on early career development. These include recommending suitable job opportunities, suggesting training courses and workshops, and assisting users in building professional CVs and portfolios to strengthen their competitiveness in the job market.
The platform also places a strong emphasis on inclusivity by supporting people with disabilities and helping connect them with employment opportunities suited to their abilities, reflecting the project’s broader social and human-centered vision.
The idea behind GenZawy is not just helping students find jobs, but helping them better understand their skills, interests, and long-term professional direction.

The initiative was supervised by Dr. Hala Rashad, Dr. Perihan Hany, and Dr. Mary Magdy.

The initiative reflects a growing trend among Egyptian university students toward developing practical digital solutions that address real-life challenges facing younger generations.
It also highlights the increasing role of AI-driven technologies in education, career planning, and professional development, particularly as students navigate an increasingly competitive and rapidly changing job market.
Through GenZawy, a group of university students is attempting to transform career planning from a late-stage concern into an ongoing journey that begins long before graduation.
