CAIRO - 6 May 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a telephone conversation with Sultan Haitham bin Tariq of Oman, according to Ambassador Mohamed El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson for the Egyptian Presidency.
 
 
El-Shenawy stated that the conversation addressed current regional developments, during which the President affirmed Egypt’s solidarity and full support for the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, emphasizing that the security and stability of the Sultanate, and of all Arab countries, are an integral part of Egypt’s national security.
 
 
El-Shenawy, the official spokesperson, explained that the President stressed the need to intensify efforts aimed at reducing regional tensions, praising in this context the constructive role played by the Sultanate of Oman and reviewing the Egyptian efforts made to achieve the same goal.
 
 
He also affirmed the importance of maintaining peace and stability in the Middle East, avoiding escalation, and working to resolve the current crisis through peaceful means.
 
 
The spokesperson added that Sultan Bin Tariq expressed his appreciation for Egypt’s steadfast and supportive stance toward the Sultanate of Oman, as well as Egypt’s tireless efforts to de-escalate tensions and resolve regional crises through peaceful means. He also praised the deep fraternal ties between the two countries and their brotherly peoples, affirming a commitment to continuing to strengthen them.
 
 
In this context, it was agreed during the call to intensify political consultation and coordination between Egypt and the Sultanate of Oman on various issues, including ways to restore and sustain regional stability.
