CAIRO - 4 May 2026: Egypt condemned in the strongest terms the missile and drone attacks targeting the United Arab Emirates, which resulted in a fire at a petroleum facility in Fujairah and left several individuals injured.
In a Monday statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed full solidarity with the UAE, supporting all measures taken by the country to protect its national sovereignty.
The statement categorically rejected any practices aimed at terrorizing civilians or destabilizing the Arabian Gulf region.
Egypt further warned of the "extremely dangerous repercussions" of these attacks, describing them as a serious escalation that hinders efforts toward regional calm.
The statement concluded that such actions constitute a flagrant violation of international law and the United Nations Charter.
Hours earlier, Egypt also condemned the targeting of a UAE crude oil tanker while passing through the Strait of Hormuz.
