CAIRO - 4 May 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 188th aid convoy, "Zad Al-Izza... From Egypt to Gaza," on Monday including a number of trucks carrying humanitarian aid towards the Gaza Strip.

This initiative is part of its role as the national mechanism for coordinating aid to the Strip.

The 188th "Zad Al-Izza" convoy carried approximately 3,970 tons of comprehensive humanitarian aid, including food baskets, flour, medical supplies, relief materials, and petroleum products to operate hospitals and vital facilities in the Strip.

The Egyptian Red Crescent also reinforced its efforts to provide Gaza residents with essential needs such as clothing, blankets, tarpaulins, and tents to shelter those affected.

The Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a presence on the border since the beginning of the crisis, as the Rafah crossing has remained open from the Egyptian side. It has continued its preparedness at all logistical centers and its ongoing efforts to deliver more than 950,000 tons of humanitarian and relief aid, thanks to the efforts of more than 65,000 volunteers.
