CAIRO – 30 April 2026: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelatty, received Ambassador Amr Ramadan, Head of the National Coordinating Committee for Combating and Preventing Illegal Migration, on Wednesday.
The meeting addressed the state's comprehensive efforts to curb illegal migration, promote legal migration pathways, and implement programs designed to prepare young people for foreign labor markets.
Discussions also focused on strengthening cooperation with regional and international partners to develop integrated projects aimed at combating migrant smuggling.
Ambassador Amr Ramadan provided an overview of the new National Strategy for Combating Illegal Migration (2027–2036), which is currently under development. Furthermore, he reviewed the efforts and activities conducted by the committee's various member national bodies during the first quarter of this year.
