CAIRO – 30 April 2026: As part of the state's comprehensive plan for the digital transformation of the litigation system, the Ministry of Justice has announced the launch of a remote fee payment service for civil cases. This initiative aims to streamline judicial procedures and enhance accessibility for both citizens and legal professionals.

The Ministry emphasized that the new electronic service is designed to simplify litigation workflows and reduce overcrowding within court premises by removing the need for physical presence to settle fees. This move aligns with Egypt’s broader digital strategy to modernize government services and improve the quality of the judicial environment.

The service is currently being rolled out across several primary courts and their affiliated branches, including: North and South Cairo, North and South Assiut, North Mansoura, South Damanhour and Kafr El-Sheikh (excluding the Billa branch court).

The Ministry confirmed that the service will be expanded gradually to cover all remaining courts nationwide in the coming period. Citizens and lawyers are encouraged to utilize the system through the dedicated online portal for remote fee payments.

This development follows recent legislative updates, including the new Criminal Procedures Law, aimed at fully integrating technology into the Egyptian justice system by late 2026.
