CAIRO – 28 April 2026: Dr. Sahar El-Sonbaty, President of the National Council for Childhood and Motherhood (NCCM), organized a visit to the Egyptian Red Crescent, accompanied by several children serving as the Council's "Ambassadors for Childhood."

The visit is part of the Council's ongoing efforts to instill the values of volunteerism and strengthen the spirit of belonging and community engagement among young people.
Dr. El-Sonbaty explained that the visit aimed to familiarize children with the humanitarian role played by the Egyptian Red Crescent in relief efforts and rapid emergency response. By doing so, the Council seeks to consolidate their understanding of social responsibility and inspire them to actively participate in serving their community.

The Council President emphasized that such visits contribute to establishing a culture of volunteerism among children and cultivate their desire to participate in noble humanitarian work, noting that the spirit of giving is deeply rooted in Egyptian society.

She also expressed her appreciation for the outstanding role played by the Egyptian Red Crescent's volunteer teams, praising their efforts in providing humanitarian support and rapid response during crises. She stressed that these honorable examples represent a true source of inspiration for future generations.
