Egypt develops integrated digital system to support National Digital Health Strategy

CAIRO - 28 April 2026: Minister of Health and Population Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, held a meeting Tuesday to discuss the development of an integrated digital health system within the framework of the digital transformation of the health system. 

 

This integrated digital health system aims to support the implementation of the National Digital Health Strategy.

 

The meeting addressed ways to cooperate in achieving the digital transformation of the current health insurance system, particularly given its massive patient database. This will contribute to facilitating the future implementation of the comprehensive health insurance system.

 

Dr. Hossam Abdel Ghaffar, the Ministry's official spokesperson, explained that the Minister emphasized during the meeting the importance of enhancing technical expertise and ensuring the sustainability of the digital system.

 

A presentation was also given by a company outlining its proposed plan for cooperation in this area.
