TEL AVIV – 25 April 2026: Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed the army on Saturday to strike Hezbollah targets in Lebanon “with force,” according to Israeli media.

The order follows reports that projectiles were launched by Hezbollah into northern Israel, as well as against Israeli troops stationed in southern Lebanon earlier on the day.

The latest escalation threatens a fragile ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon, announced by US President Donald Trump in mid-April after heavy Israeli strikes across Lebanon, including Beirut, killed over 2,000 people.
