CAIRO – 25 April 2026: The Grand Egyptian Museum has launched an upgraded version of its online ticket booking platform, offering visitors a faster, simpler and more secure way to purchase entry tickets.

The new system is built on the latest user experience standards, with fewer booking steps and a streamlined interface designed to allow visitors to complete their reservations quickly and efficiently, the Cabinet said.

The upgrade aims to strengthen digital security for visitors, particularly amid reports of unofficial websites impersonating the museum and promoting counterfeit tickets, the Cabinet said.

The launch also helps unify the museum’s digital identity by adopting a single official ticketing channel linked directly to its official website, reinforcing institutional credibility and enhancing user trust.

The museum authority urged visitors to rely exclusively on the official link when booking tickets and to avoid dealing with unverified platforms, in order to protect their rights and ensure a safe and seamless experience.

The upgraded booking platform is now available via:
https://tickets.gem.eg

During a transitional phase, tickets will also continue to be available through the previous link:
https://visit-gem.com
before it is eventually phased out once the new platform becomes widely adopted, making the new link the sole official booking channel.

To facilitate the transition, cross-linking and redirection features will be introduced between both platforms to ensure smooth user navigation to the new system, the Cabinet explained.
