NICOSIA – 24 April 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi stressed that achieving stability in Lebanon is among Egypt’s top priorities, during a consultative meeting with Arab and European leaders and top EU officials in Cyprus on Friday.

The president emphasized the importance of adhering to the recently reached ceasefire and of concerted efforts by all partners to prevent a return to escalation.

He also reaffirmed Egypt’s full support for Lebanon and its state institutions.

He urged the international community to assume its responsibilities in supporting Lebanese national institutions to carry out their pivotal role, and to work toward ending Israeli attacks and occupation.
