President El-Sisi heads to Cyprus for consultative meeting with regional and EU leaders

CAIRO – 24 April 2026: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi heads on Friday to Nicosia, Cyprus, to participate in a consultative meeting that will bring together leaders of a number of Arab countries and European Union states and institutions.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, said President El-Sisi will participate in the meeting upon the invitation of Cypriot President Nicos Christodoulides and President of the European Council António Costa.

 This comes within the framework of the ongoing consultation between region’s countries and the European Union regarding current geopolitical developments as well as various regional and international issues.

President El-Sisi will deliver a speech, outlining Egypt's vision for achieving regional and international stability and enhancing cooperation among the countries of the region and the European Union. The President will also hold a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the consultative meeting.
