Egypt’s FM discusses bilateral relations and latest developments with Yemeni PM

CAIRO – 23 April 2026: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelatty, held a phone call on Thursday with Shaya Mohsen Al-Zindani, Yemen's Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, to discuss strengthening bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.

The call addressed frameworks for joint cooperation between Egypt and Yemen and explored ways to enhance them across various fields, reflecting the deep historical ties between the two nations.

During the conversation, Minister Abdelatty reiterated Egypt's firm stance on the Yemeni crisis, emphasizing Cairo's full support for the unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity of Yemen.

He further affirmed Egypt's commitment to all efforts aimed at reaching a comprehensive and sustainable political solution—one that fulfills the aspirations of the Yemeni people and brings an end to their humanitarian suffering.
