President El-Sisi congratulates Dutch PM on assuming office

CAIRO – 21 April 2026: Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi received a phone call from the Prime Minister of the Netherlands, Rob Jetten, on Tuesday.

The Spokesman for the Presidency, Ambassador Mohamed El-Shennawy, stated that President El-Sisi congratulated the Dutch Prime Minister on assuming his post and forming the new government.

The President underlined that Egypt holds the relations between the two countries in high esteem and stressed Egypt's commitment to strengthening them across all fields.

The Dutch Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the President and noted his country's interest in developing relations with Egypt, both bilaterally and within the framework of the strategic partnership between Egypt and the European Union.

He further noted Egypt's pivotal role in combating illegal migration and its ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability within the region, specifically across the Middle East and Africa.
