Egypt condemns terrorist plot targeting UAE security

CAIRO - 20 April 2026: Egypt condemned a terrorist plot aimed at undermining national unity and destabilizing the United Arab Emirates, according to a Monday statement by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The statement praised the success of Emirati security services in thwarting the "sinister plot" and dismantling the terrorist organization involved.

Egypt affirmed its full solidarity with the UAE, standing by the sisterly nation against any attempts to infringe upon its sovereignty or stability. The ministry reiterated Egypt's firm position against all forms of terrorism and extremism.

The statement further emphasized that the security and stability of the UAE is an integral part of the security of Egypt and the Arab region. Cairo concluded the communique by renewing its condemnation of any attempts to undermine the safety of the UAE and other sisterly Gulf nations.
