CAIRO – 19 April 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi reaffirmed Egypt’s categorical rejection of any attack on the sovereignty of Kuwait or any other Arab state, stressing Cairo’s full support for Kuwait’s security and stability.

Receiving Kuwait’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah on Sunday, El-Sisi expressed Egypt’s backing for all measures taken by Kuwait to protect its people’s resources, the Presidency said in a statement.

He underlined that Kuwait’s security, along with that of other Arab countries, is an extension of Egypt’s national security.

For his part, the Kuwaiti foreign minister conveyed greetings and appreciation from Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of Kuwait, to the president.

He praised Egypt’s historic positions in support of Kuwait’s security, sovereignty, and stability, as well as its consistent backing of Arab Gulf security.

The president stressed the importance of continuing to strengthen Egyptian-Kuwaiti relations across various fields, particularly in investment and trade, the statement said.

El-Sisi noted the significant progress witnessed in the two countries’ relations, calling for continued efforts to elevate ties to broader and more advanced horizons.

Sheikh Jarrah Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah also expressed his pride in the continued progress of Egypt-Kuwait relations and expressed Kuwait’s aspiration to intensify coordination with Egypt to maintain regional peace and safeguard Arab states’ security.
