Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad Badr Abdelatty met with Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine
CAIRO- 18 April 2026: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad Badr Abdelatty met with Andrii Sybiha, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, on the sidelines of the Antalya Diplomacy Forum, on Friday, April 17.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations. Minister Abdelatty praised the current level of cooperation between the two countries and expressed Egypt’s aspiration to elevate ties further through continued political consultations and the convening of joint committee meetings.
He also reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to expanding economic and trade cooperation, as well as enhancing collaboration in the fields of energy, construction, communications, and industrial localization.
Minister Abdelatty reviewed recent developments in the Middle East, particularly the economic repercussions of ongoing military escalation in the region, and highlighted Egypt’s efforts to promote de-escalation.
The two ministers also discussed developments related to the Ukrainian crisis, with Abdelatty reiterating Egypt’s firm position in favor of resolving conflicts through peaceful means and dialogue, as a pathway to strengthening regional and international security and stability.
