CAIRO - 14 April 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, the growing momentum in strategic relations between Egypt and Russia across various sectors, including cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan.

He highlighted Tatarstan’s notable development, particularly in the industrial, technological and agricultural fields.

This came during a meeting of Abdelatty with President of Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov as part of Minnikhanov’s official visit to Cairo.

The meeting was attended by Minister of Industry Khaled Hashem at the directives of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

According to a statement on Tuesday by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdelatty reaffirmed Egypt’s commitment to strengthening economic cooperation with Russia and Tatarstan.

He also stressed the importance of expanding collaboration with Tatarstan-based companies, increasing training programs, technology transfer, and capacity-building initiatives, with the aim of localizing these industries within Egypt.

Abdelatty further underscored the need to attract investments in key sectors such as logistics, agriculture, oil and gas and petrochemicals.

He emphasized enhancing agricultural cooperation mechanisms, including boosting Egyptian exports of agricultural products to Tatarstan and strengthening collaboration in engineering and agricultural mechanization, particularly in light of Egypt’s plans to establish a regional logistics hub for grains and energy.
