CAIRO - 6 April 2026: Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty held a virtual meeting with members of the Egyptian community in Jordan on Monday to monitor their conditions amid ongoing regional military escalations.
Abdelatty said the status of the community in Jordan remains generally reassuring and stable despite current "exceptional circumstances."
The meeting included Deputy Foreign Minister Nabil Habashi, Assistant Foreign Minister for Consular Affairs Haddad El-Gohary, Egypt’s Ambassador to Jordan Khaled El-Abyad, and Consul Ahmed Ismail Osman.
Habashi urged Egyptian citizens to adhere to Jordanian laws and instructions, praising the efforts of the Egyptian Embassy in Amman and the Consulate in Aqaba in facilitating consular services and ensuring citizen safety.
The session concluded with an interactive discussion where officials addressed queries and suggestions from community members, reaffirming the ministry’s commitment to providing support and care for Egyptians living abroad.
