CAIRO – 2 April 2026: Egypt’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad, Badr Abdelatty, met with members of the Egyptian community in Moscow as part of the government's ongoing commitment to strengthening direct communication with citizens living abroad.

During the meeting, the Foreign Minister reviewed the state's efforts to support its citizens overseas, highlighting the Ministry's dedication to continuously improving consular services.

These improvements include expanding digital transformation and launching new initiatives in coordination with various state institutions—all aimed at meeting the needs of Egyptians abroad and facilitating efficient, rapid access to services.

Minister Abdelatty expressed his appreciation for the national role played by the Egyptian community in Russia. He emphasized that they serve as a vital bridge for strengthening relations between the Egyptian and Russian peoples and commended their contributions to bolstering bilateral ties.

Furthermore, the Foreign Minister underscored the importance the state places on maintaining continuous communication with the Egyptian diaspora worldwide.

He praised the success of the sixth edition of the Conference of Egyptians Abroad, held in Cairo in August 2025, describing it as an effective platform for dialogue and the exchange of perspectives. He also extended an invitation for active participation in the seventh edition, scheduled for this coming August.

The meeting concluded with an interactive discussion where members of the diaspora addressed issues related to their specific circumstances and needs.

Minister Abdelatty reaffirmed the Ministry's commitment to providing the highest level of care to Egyptians abroad and its ongoing efforts to develop robust communication channels with the diaspora.
