CAIRO - 2 April 2026: A new group of Palestinians returning to the Gaza Strip arrived at the main area of the Rafah border crossing on the Egyptian side.
Procedures are being finalized in preparation for their return.
Sources at the crossing stated that procedures are being completed for this new group, the 30th such group, in preparation for their return to the Gaza Strip.
The sources added that a team from the Egyptian Red Crescent received the returning Palestinians at the Rafah border crossing.
Red Crescent teams are facilitating procedures in coordination with the relevant authorities, distributing hot meals and return kits, and providing psychological support to children.
Preparations are underway to receive the wounded.
Meanwhile, Egyptian authorities are preparing to receive a new group of wounded and sick Palestinians from the Gaza Strip for treatment in Egyptian hospitals.
The Egyptian Ministry of Health has established a medical point at the Rafah border crossing to examine arrivals, triage cases, and transfer them to Egyptian hospitals via equipped Egyptian ambulances.
