CAIRO – 30 March 2026: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad has successfully overseen the repatriation of several Egyptian citizens who passed away in Kuwait in recent days due to natural and medical causes.
Ten bodies were transported back to Egypt on Monday via a dedicated charter flight.
In an official statement, the Ministry confirmed it also successfully facilitated the return of 319 Egyptian citizens from Kuwait to Cairo, including individuals whose residency permits had expired.
These efforts are part of the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to monitoring the conditions of Egyptian nationals abroad and providing essential consular assistance.
Ambassador Haddad El-Gohary, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Consular Affairs, stated that the Ministry remains dedicated to coordinating with relevant authorities to expedite and resolve the situation of Egyptians currently in Kuwait.
He praised the high level of cooperation with both Kuwaiti and Saudi authorities. This trilateral coordination also facilitated the entry of several thousand Egyptians, previously stranded in Kuwait, into Saudi Arabia via land border crossings.
