President Sisi urges Trump to stop regional war, says ‘you are the one who can do so’

 

In his speech at the inauguration of the ninth edition of the Egypt International Energy Conference and Exhibition (EGYPES 2026) in Cairo on Monday, President Sisi said, “I say to President Trump that no one can stop the war in our region and in the Gulf except you.” 

 

He added: “I am speaking to you in the name of humanity and in the name of peace lovers, and you, Mr. President, are one of the peace lovers. I am sending you a direct message, in my name and in the name of everyone in the region and the world, to please help us stop the war, Mr. President, as you are able to do so."

 

 

The EGYPES  2026 is being held from March 30 to April 1, 2026, under the theme "Energy Transition through Cooperation, Action, and Realism."
