Egypt condemns ‘terrorist plots’ targeting security of Gulf states

CAIRO - 20 March 2026: Egypt condemned in the strongest terms "terrorist plots" targeting the security and stability of Arab Gulf states, reaffirming its total rejection of any acts threatening the stability of sisterly nations.

In a Friday statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that these plots targeted both Kuwait and the UAE, praising the security services in both countries for successfully thwarting the plans and dismantling the associated networks.

Egypt emphasized its full solidarity with Gulf states and its support for any measures taken to protect their security. The statement stressed Egypt’s rejection of any attempts to undermine state sovereignty or intimidate citizens and residents.

Further, Egypt expressed its support for all security and legal steps taken by the authorities in the targeted countries to ensure stability and counter threats.

Cairo reiterated its long-standing position rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism, standing alongside the Gulf in the face of attempts to destabilize the region.
