CAIRO - 17 March 2026: President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi emphasized the necessity of joint action to lower regional escalations and prioritize diplomatic paths to preserve peace during a Tuesday meeting with Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty.

Presidency Spokesperson Mohamed el-Shennawy said Sisi reviewed a comprehensive report on the minister’s recent tour of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Oman, and Jordan.

The tour featured high-level meetings aimed at bolstering Egyptian-Arab coordination amid rapid regional developments.

Sisi reiterated Egypt’s condemnation of attacks against Arab nations, affirming the full solidarity of the Egyptian state and people with their neighbors in facing current security challenges.

He further underscored Egypt’s unwavering stance in supporting the security and stability of Gulf nations.

The members of the Gulf Cooperation Council have been under Iranian attack since the U.S. and Israel launched a war against it two weeks ago.
