CAIRO - 17 March 2026: During his tour and meetings with his counterparts in the six Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries, Jordan, and Iraq, Foreign Minister Dr. Badr Abdel-Atty, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptian Expatriates, focused on checking on the conditions of Egyptian communities in these brotherly nations, as per the directives of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.
During his meetings, the Foreign Minister expressed his sincere appreciation and gratitude to the relevant authorities in the brotherly Arab countries for their keen interest and generous care for the Egyptian communities residing in these countries, especially given the exceptional circumstances the region is experiencing. The Foreign Minister emphasized that this reflects the deep-rooted fraternal ties and close partnership that bind Egypt to its Arab brothers.
He also acknowledged the important role these communities play in supporting the comprehensive development process in their respective countries.
Priority to the Egyptians Abroad
The Foreign Minister reiterated that the file of the Egyptians expatriated constitutes a top priority for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The Ministry continues, through its embassies and consulates in Arab countries, to monitor the conditions of Egyptian communities around the clock "and to make the necessary contacts with the authorities in brotherly Arab countries to meet their needs and provide them with all necessary forms of support."
