CAIRO – 14 March 2026: Twelve people were injured after a fire broke out at a factory manufacturing car parts in Talkha, Dakahlia Governorate (Egypt’s Delta), on Saturday.

 

The factory is located on the Talkha–Sherbin West Road, outside a residential area. Eleven injured people were treated at the scene and then returned to their homes. Only one injured person was transferred to Mansoura International Hospital for treatment. No deaths have been reported so far.

 

An investigation has been launched, in cooperation with all relevant agencies, most notably the Civil Protection Authority and the Ambulance Authority, to control the fire and ensure the safety of citizens.
