CAIRO - 14 MARCH 2026: The UN humanitarian office says Israel has halted almost all humanitarian movements through Kerem Abu Salem, a move that has left aid teams able to bring in fuel only, with no other supplies reaching Gaza via the crossing in recent days.

In the UN’s daily press briefing, spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said OCHA reported that all but one of the requested humanitarian movements to the Kerem Abu Salem crossing were denied over the past 24 hours, and “as a result” the UN was only able to collect fuel.

The UN has also been warning that Kerem Abu Salem is currently the only operational crossing into Gaza, heightening the impact of any restrictions placed on movements through it.

The UN said it is in daily contact with Israeli authorities, and is pressing for the entry of more essential humanitarian items, not only fuel, as part of efforts to keep basic services running and meet urgent needs.
