Capital Univ. hosts 1st event of global scholar series initiative

CAIRO - 12 March 2026: The Capital University in Egypt hosted the first event of its Capital Global Scholars Series initiative, which aims to highlight the distinguished academic and research experiences of university students and faculty members who have received international scholarships and fellowships for study or research at universities worldwide. 
 
The event was held under the patronage of Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, University President, and Dr. Emad Abu El-Dahab, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and under the supervision of the University's International Relations Office.
 
This initiative contributes to transferring international expertise to the university's academic community. It also encourages applying for international scholarships, in addition to that introduces students to the academic and research pathways available globally.
 
The first session of the series, titled “From CAPITAL to CHINA,” featured Youssef Osama Mahrous Qubaisi, a teaching assistant in the Textiles Department at the Faculty of Applied Arts and a master's student at Jiangnan University in China.
 
During the session, Qubaisi shared his academic experience and his journey studying abroad, as well as discussed the most prominent opportunities and challenges he faced in his journey, and offering valuable advice to students interested in pursuing international studies.
 
The session also included a presentation on scholarship opportunities offered by the Chinese Government (CSC), explaining all required documents, application procedures, and the essential steps students must follow when applying for these scholarships.
 
Dr. El-Sayed Kandil, President of the Capital University, emphasized the university's commitment to supporting academic internationalization and enhancing its presence on the global stage.
 
He noted that providing opportunities for university students and faculty members to learn from successful international experiences contributes to building a generation capable of competing in international academic environments.
 
He added that the university encourages its students and researchers to take advantage of international scholarship and academic exchange programs to transfer knowledge and expertise and develop the education and scientific research system.
