CAIRO - 12 March 2026: Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Minister of Health and Population Khaled Abdel Ghaffar signed a cooperation protocol under “Your Treatment in Egypt” initiative dedicated to Egyptians living abroad.

The signing took place at the Ministry of Health headquarters on Thursday and comes in implementation of the political leadership’s directives to prioritize Egyptians abroad and provide all forms of care to strengthen their connection to the homeland.

The two ministers emphasized that the initiative represents a qualitative leap in providing high-quality medical and therapeutic services in Egypt for Egyptians abroad.

The program offers an integrated system that includes identifying accredited hospitals and medical centers and available specialties, booking appointments electronically and offering remote medical consultations prior to travel. This contributes to simplifying procedures and saving citizens’ time and effort.

They also said the protocol enhances institutional cooperation between the two ministries to ensure that Egyptians abroad receive organized and safe healthcare, while promoting Egypt’s advanced medical capabilities following major investments and improvements in the health system in recent years.

It also encourages Egyptians abroad to seek treatment in their home country to benefit from the quality of services and cost efficiency.
