Egyptian Ambassador to Qatar Walid El-Feky during Wednesday's virtual meeting with nationals
CAIRO - 11 March 2026: Ambassador Walid El-Feky, the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Qatar, held a virtual meeting on Wednesday with a number of prominent members of the Egyptian community residing in Qatar.
This meeting came as part of the embassy's commitment to monitoring the situation of Egyptian citizens and ensuring their well-being amidst current developments.
During the meeting, the Ambassador conveyed the Egyptian political leadership's assurance of its concern for the safety and well-being of Egyptian citizens in Qatar. He noted that the Egyptian Embassy in Doha is continuously monitoring the situation of the community in coordination with the Qatari authorities.
The Ambassador affirmed that Egypt stands with Qatar, its leadership, government, and people, in the face of Iranian aggression, emphasizing Egypt's complete condemnation of these attacks against the sisterly State of Qatar. He stressed that what affects Qatar affects Egypt.
He also urged members of the Egyptian community to adhere to all instructions and procedures issued by the Qatari authorities, which contribute to maintaining security and public safety. He expressed Egypt's full confidence in the State of Qatar's ability to provide care and support to all residents on its territory, including members of the Egyptian community, and commended the measures taken by Doha to maintain security and stability.
The ambassador further explained that the Egyptian Embassy in Doha is continuing its work normally and at full capacity, including its consular section, to ensure the continued provision of services to the Egyptian community and to enhance coordination with relevant authorities in Qatar.
The meeting also tackled the ongoing monitoring of the educational process in Egyptian schools in Qatar through virtual learning.
