CAIRO - 10 March 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent (ERC) launched its 153rd “Zad Al-Ezza” convoy on Tuesday, carrying urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip, as part of its ongoing mission to coordinate relief efforts for the Palestinian people.
The convoy transported 3,355 tons of humanitarian supplies. This includes over 1,650 tons of food baskets and flour, 350 tons of medical and relief supplies, and over 1,350 tons of fuel to maintain hospital operations and other vital infrastructure in the Strip.
The ERC has prioritized the delivery of essential seasonal supplies. This latest shipment includes more than 3,640 pieces of winter clothing, 18,950 blankets, 13,200 mats, 3,455 tarpaulins, and 1,650 tents to provide shelter for displaced families.
Since the onset of the crisis, the Egyptian Red Crescent has maintained a continuous presence at the border. The Egyptian side of the Rafah crossing has remained open throughout, with logistics centers operating at full capacity. To date, the ERC has delivered over 800,000 tons of aid, supported by a network of more than 65,000 volunteers.
