CAIRO – 5 March 2026: EgyptAir announced via its official Facebook page the gradual resumption of additional round-trip flights to Dubai and Dammam, effective March 6.
These flights are available for booking through the EgyptAir website, call center, sales offices, and authorized travel agents.
On March 1, EgyptAir had announced a continued suspension of flights from Cairo to several regional destinations until further notice. This decision was driven by escalating regional developments affecting air traffic across neighboring countries.
In an official statement, the national carrier confirmed that the affected routes include Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Beirut, Doha, Amman, Dammam, Bahrain, Baghdad, Erbil, and Kuwait.
The airline stated it is closely monitoring the situation through its Integrated Operations Control Center (IOCC) in coordination with relevant authorities and overseas stations. EgyptAir has urged customers to review their bookings via the call center, website, or the nearest sales office for the latest updates on their flight status.
Airspace over several countries—including Iran, Israel, Iraq, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, Syria, and the UAE—has been subject to closures since Saturday. These disruptions followed missile attacks by Iran on U.S. military installations in several Arab countries, an escalation following intensive U.S.-Israeli strikes in the region.
