CAIRO – 1 March 2026: Due to the growing demand for maritime travel, particularly in light of widespread flight cancellations and postponements as a result of the US-Israeli-Iranian military escalation, Adnan Al-Abadleh, General Manager of Arab Bridge Maritime Company (ABMC), owned by the governments of Egypt, Jordan, and Iraq, confirmed that the company continues to operate its services safely and efficiently.

Daily sea voyages for passengers and tourist groups are running regularly on both the Aqaba–Nuweiba international maritime route and the Aqaba–Taba tourist route.

The company also confirmed its readiness to transport Iraqi and Syrian nationals arriving from Egypt to Baghdad and Damascus via the Nuweiba–Aqaba maritime route. These passengers were affected by flight cancellations under the current circumstances, and all necessary approvals have been secured.

Al-Abadleh stated that the company will increase the number of sea voyages during this period. He emphasized that Arab Bridge Maritime serves as the primary maritime link between Jordan and Egypt via the Aqaba–Nuweiba route, in addition to the Aqaba–Taba tourist route.

He further noted that many airlines have suspended, canceled, or rerouted flights due to the ongoing regional conflict, preventing some travelers and tourist groups from completing their travel programs or returning to their destinations.

In this context, Arab Bridge Maritime offers a safe, reliable, and cost-effective alternative. Its regular sea voyages enable passengers to continue their journeys and connect to global destinations through Sharm El-Sheikh International Airport and Cairo International Airport.

Additionally, Arab Bridge Maritime provides travelers with convenient pre-booking options through its authorized offices in Jordan and Egypt, as well as through its official online booking system. This ensures flexibility and allows passengers to select travel dates that best suit their needs.
