JERUSALEM – 1 March 2026: Eight Israeli settlers were killed and dozens injured, Israeli media reported on Sunday, after an Iranian missile struck the settlement of Beit Shemesh near occupied Jerusalem.
Meanwhile, coordinated US and Israeli airstrikes since Saturday have killed at least 201 people and injured 747 more, according to the Iranian Red Crescent.
At least 148 people were killed and 95 more were wounded in a strike on a girls’ school in southern Iran’s Minab city, killing at according to Iranian officials.
The Israeli military claimed it eliminated 40 key Iranian commanders in a single minute during Saturday’s opening strike in Iran, including Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.
Israeli military and media said the strikes hit dozens of political and military sites as well as residential areas.
