CAIRO - 28 February 2026: The population clock atop the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) building announced today that Egypt’s population has reached 108,750,000, marking an increase of 750,000 over 196 days. Egypt’s population first reached 108 million on August 16 of last year.

 
 
According to the statistics, the country recorded its first quarter-million increase after reaching 108 million on October 14, 59 days later, bringing the total to 108,250,000. A second quarter-million increase followed on December 20, 67 days later, reaching 108,500,000. The third quarter-million increase occurred today, 70 days later.
