CAIRO - 28 February 2026: The Ministry of Civil Aviation announced Saturday that it is closely monitoring the current regional developments of the US-Iranian strikes to ensure the highest standards of safety and security in civil aviation.
This comes in light of the currnt repercussions of the US-Iranian strikes, and their potential impact on air traffic in some airspaces in the region.
The Ministry urges passengers to review their flight information and contact their respective airlines directly or through official channels to confirm departure and arrival times and any updates to flight schedules.
The Ministry of Civil Aviation emphasized its readiness to take all necessary precautionary measures, based on ongoing assessments of the situation, to ensure the smooth operation of flights and the safety of passengers and aircraft, given the rapidly evolving situation in the region.
The Ministry's statement came after a large-scale Israeli military attack targeting the Iranian capital, Tehran, and several strategic sites. This escalation reflects a shift in the confrontation to a more explicit and dangerous phase, amid regional and international anticipation of the repercussions across various sectors.
