El-Sisi directs unified state efforts to build aware generation supportive of digital economy

CAIRO – 22 February 2026: President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi on Sunday stressed the importance of unifying the efforts of national institutions responsible for education and financial oversight to cultivate a generation capable of contributing to a knowledge-based digital economy.

The directive came during a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly and Minister of Education and Technical Education Mohamed Abdel Latif, in which the government reviewed the latest initiatives to equip students with financial digital skills.

The discussion highlighted the implementation status of the digital and financial literacy protocol signed between the Ministry of Education Ministry and the Financial Regulatory Authority.

The program aims to instill financial awareness from an early age, teach students practical skills in money management and project financing, and protect them from illegal financial practices.
