PORT SAID – 19 February 2026: Eighteen people were killed and three others injured in a collision between two trucks on the 30 June Axis south of Port Said, according to officials.
The tragedy unfolded when a heavy transport truck collided with a pickup truck that was carrying workers to fish farms in the governorate.
The workers are believed to belong to Cairo’s Al-Matariya district.
Ambulances rushed to the scene and transported the dead and injured to nearby hospitals.
Authorities are continuing efforts to identify the deceased and determine their places of residence.
