Photos: Egyptian, Turkish air force commanders meet to discuss cooperation

CAIRO – 18 February 2026: Commander of the Air Force Lt. Gen. Pilot Amr Saqr received his Turkish counterpart, Gen. Ziya Cemal Kadıoğlu, and his delegation at the Egyptian Air Force Command headquarters.

According to the Egyptian Armed Forces’ spokesperson, Gharib Abdel Hafez, the two commanders discussed a range of topics in light of the cooperation between the air forces of Egypt and Türkiye.

 

During the meeting, Lt. Gen. Saqr emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts to advance shared interests and expressed hope that the coming period would see further rapprochement benefiting both air forces.

Gen. Kadıoğlu highlighted the depth of the partnership and the longstanding bilateral cooperation between the air forces of the two friendly nations.

On the sidelines of his visit, the Turkish commander toured several Egyptian Air Force units to review the latest training programs and recently acquired armament systems.
