CAIRO — 16 February 2026: The Egyptian Red Crescent launched its 140th humanitarian convoy, “Zad Al-Ezza… From Egypt to Gaza,” carrying extensive relief supplies as part of its ongoing efforts to support Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The convoy included approximately 253,000 food baskets, more than 370 tons of flour, over 585 tons of medical and relief supplies, about 135 tons of personal care items, and more than 1,130 tons of fuel designated to operate hospitals and critical facilities inside Gaza. Winter aid was also reinforced, consisting of around 565 blankets, over 5,820 pieces of winter clothing, and 2,120 tents for displaced families.
Relief teams continue operating at the Rafah Crossing on the Egyptian side, receiving and assisting the 12th group of wounded and ill Palestinians entering or leaving for treatment. Volunteers help facilitate procedures while providing integrated humanitarian support, including psychological care for children, family reunification services, hot meals, clothing, hygiene supplies, and return kits for those heading back to Gaza.
Since the start of the crisis, the organization has maintained a constant presence at the border. The crossing has remained open from Egypt’s side, while logistics centers have stayed on high alert to ensure the steady flow of relief shipments. Total humanitarian aid delivered has exceeded 800,000 tons, supported by more than 65,000 volunteers.
The latest convoy reflects Egypt’s sustained relief operations and its continued logistical role in facilitating humanitarian assistance to Gaza.
