CAIRO - 16 February 2026: President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi held a phone call Monday with Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadéra to congratulate him on his re-election for a third presidential term.
According to a Monday statement by Presidency Spokesperson Mohamed El-Shennawy, Sisi praised the successful and simultaneous organization of presidential, parliamentary, and municipal elections in the Central African Republic.
The two leaders discussed enhancing bilateral relations, with Sisi affirming Egypt’s full support for stability and development efforts in the Central African Republic. He expressed Egypt's readiness to provide technical assistance in priority sectors.
President Touadéra expressed his deep appreciation for the gesture, highlighting his country’s commitment to strengthening cooperation with Egypt. He specifically noted interest in benefiting from Egyptian expertise in economic and security fields, while commending Egypt’s active role in supporting development across the African continent.
