CAIRO – 9 February 2026: The Ministry of Transport has adjusted the operating hours of Cairo’s three metro lines for the holy month of Ramadan to facilitate travel for citizens and accommodate increased work and movement patterns during this period.

The first metro trains on all lines will depart from terminal stations at 5:15 a.m. The last train departure times are as follows:

Last Train Departure Times

Line 1:

The last trains will depart from Helwan and New El Marg stations at 12:15 a.m.

Line 2:

The last trains will depart from Shubra El Kheima and El Mounib stations at 12:30 a.m.

Line 3:

The last train will depart from Adly Mansour station at 12:07 a.m., while the last train from Kit Kat station will depart at 12:38 a.m.

 

Interchange Connections Between Lines

The Ministry confirmed that connections at interchange stations have been scheduled to ensure passengers can complete their journeys, as follows:

Anwar El Sadat Station:

The last train on Line 1 connects with Line 2 at 1:00 a.m.

Gamal Abdel Nasser Station:

The last train on Line 1 connects with Line 3 at 12:30 a.m.

Ataba Station:

The last train on Line 2 connects with Line 3 at 12:30 a.m.
