CAIRO – 1 February 2026: The Foreign Ministers of Egypt, Jordan, the United Arab Emirates, Indonesia, Pakistan, Türkiye, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, and Qatar, strongly condemned Israel’s repeated violations of the ceasefire in Gaza which have resulted in the killing, and injuring of more than a thousand Palestinians.

These actions risk escalating tensions and undermining efforts aimed at consolidating calm and restoring stability, at a time when regional and international parties are working collectively to advance the second phase of the President Donald Trump’s peace plan and to implement United Nations Security Council Resolution 2803.

The ministers considered that these repeated violations constitute a direct threat to the political process and hinder ongoing efforts to create appropriate conditions for transitioning to a more stable phase in the Gaza Strip, both in terms of security and humanitarian conditions, and stress the necessity of full commitment to ensuring the success of the second phase of President Trump peace plan.

They also called on all parties to fully uphold their responsibilities during this critical period and to exercise the utmost restraint, in order to preserve and sustain the ceasefire, refrain from any actions that may undermine the current process, and create favorable conditions to move forward toward early recovery and reconstruction, as well as advancing a just and lasting peace grounded in the Palestinian right to self-determination and statehood in accordance with international law and relevant UN Security Council resolutions and the Arab peace initiative.

The Gaz Media Center said in a statement on Saturday that Since dawn this Saturday, the Israeli occupation continues its crimes of killing, bombing, and targeting our Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in flagrant and ongoing violation of the ceasefire agreement. The number of martyrs since dawn has risen to 11, resulting from several bombing attacks, the most prominent being the targeting of a tent for displaced people in Khan Younis Governorate (southern Gaza Strip), which killed seven members of one family, including five children, a woman, and an elderly man.

Since the ceasefire agreement came into effect on October 10, 2025, until today, Saturday, January 31, 2026 (a period of 111 days), the occupation has committed grave and systematic violations of the agreement. These constitute a clear breach of international humanitarian law and a deliberate undermining of the ceasefire’s essence and the provisions of the attached humanitarian protocol.

During this period, government authorities recorded 1,450 violations of the agreement, the statement said.
