EMA forecasts warmer weather across Egypt with active winds on Saturday

CAIRO - 31 January 2026: The Egyptian Meteorological Authority (EMA) has forecast a continued rise in temperatures across most parts of the country on Saturday, with increases ranging between 1 and 3 degrees Celsius.

According to the Authority, the weather will be warm during the daytime in most regions, while conditions will remain cool at night and during the early morning hours.

 

Wind activity expected

The EMA said active winds are expected in parts of the northern coast, Greater Cairo, the Nile Delta, the Suez Canal cities, North and Central Sinai, as well as Upper Egypt. In some open areas, wind activity may lead to sand and dust being stirred up.

- Alexandria:
 
High 25°C
 
Low 14°C
 
 
- Marsa Matrouh:
 
High 24°C
 
Low 13°C
 
 
- Sohag:
 
High 28°C
 
Low 12 degrees.
 
 
- Weather in Qena:
 
High 28 degrees.
 
Low 12 degrees.
 
 
- Weather in Aswan:
 
High 29 degrees.
 
Low 14 degrees.
