CAIRO – 27 January 2026: Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty and Moroccan Minister of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation and Moroccans Living Abroad Nasser Bourita held a telephone call Tuesday to discuss ongoing consultations and coordination between the two nations.
The two ministers affirmed the depth of bilateral relations between Egypt and Morocco, noting continuous development across the political, economic and trade sectors. They emphasized that these ties reflect a shared history and strong connection between the two countries.
During the call, the ministers expressed a commitment to further enhancing partnerships in political, economic and investment fields to serve the interests of both nations.
They also discussed preparations for an upcoming meeting of the Joint Higher Committee. The meeting, which will be attended by the prime ministers of both countries, aims to advance joint cooperation and realize mutual national interests.
The ministers also exchanged views on several regional and international issues. They stressed the importance of continued coordination and intensified contact in the coming period to support regional security and stability. Additionally, they pledged to enhance joint Arab and African action to address current challenges and achieve common goals.
